PTC Sites: What Are They? Are They Safe? Are They Legit?

What are PTC Sites?

A PTC site is simply a “pay to click.” Its basically an easy online job. As Wikipedia puts it:

“Paid to click (PTC) is an online business model that draws online traffic from people aiming to earn money from home. PTC websites act as middlemen between advertisers and consumers; the advertiser pays for displaying ads on the PTC website, and a part of this payment goes to the viewer when he views the advertisement.”

That’s about right. Basically, you are confronted with ads, you click them and then you get paid for it. Sometimes its money, sometimes its in the form of gift cards or prizes, but ultimately you are compensated. Just not very much…

How Much Money Can I Make on a PTC Site?

It certainly varies. Most sites pay an extremely small amount of money, so you have to click A LOT of ads for it to even matter. And further still, many PTC sites make you earn a certain amount of money before they pay you. Let’s look at an example:

Some of the worst PTC sites pay on average $0.0001 per click! Others however pay upwards of $0.03 per click. Worse still, there are some that require $100 or more before you are allowed to withdraw funds. Luckily, there are some sites that allow you to withdraw with as little as $1.

Are PTC Sites Safe?

As long as you are using a reputable site, you’re likelihood of infecting your computer with something nefarious is pretty slim. The data that you give a site like this is generally as safe as any other site. Most websites that house payment information are required to use PCI compliant hosting, which means security is top notch. Though issues do arise from time to time, you’ll likely find that most of the top PTC sites are as safe as Facebook, Twitter, and the like.

One PTC Site To Rule Them All

There is one PTC site that really stands out. In fact, it can’t really even be considered a PTC site, because the entire experience for the user is different. Where PTC sites want you to indiscriminately click on things you don’t care about just to make them money on advertising, the king of all PTC sites actually gives you ads you want to see. Have you ever been on Facebook and thought, “Wow I love these ads… I wish there was a place I could just view these later on my own time.”? If that’s you, wouldn’t it be the icing on the cake if the advertisers wanted to pay you a MINIMUM of $2 per click? Even if that’s not you, the $2 per click is by far the highest you could ever earn. BUT, there is a catch. You have to view the site and engage with it anywhere from 15-30 seconds, and then tell the site if the ad was relevant or not.

So are we going to make you search out this PTC Unicorn? Or are we going to tell you where it is?! JK you’re on the site.
